Voicemail Messaging
The SipX voicemail system allows you to access your voicemail messages using three different methods.
1, The first method is listen to messages by using your phone. This is the traditional method and will be most familiar.
2. The second method is to have voicemail messages delivered to your SUNY Ulster email. This method allows you listen to your messages through the Portal or any other device that has access to your SUNY Ulster email. Instructions for configuring Unified Messaging can be found below.
3. The third option, using SipX User Portal, allows you to check your voicemail from anywhere that has an internet connection. 

Accessing Voicemail Using your Phone
Checking Voicemail from Another On-Campus Phone
1. Dial 101.
2. Dial your PIN followed by # when prompted.

Checking Voicemail from Off-Campus
1. Dial 845 688 6101.
2. Dial your extension followed by #.
3. Dial your PIN followed by # when prompted.

Configuring Unified Messaging
Unified messaging allows your voicemail messages to be delivered to your SUNY Ulster mail box.
To enable: 
2. Type your extension number into the User ID field.
3. Type your voicemail PIN into the PIN field.
4. Click the Login button.
5. Click the My Information tab.
6. Select Unified Messaging from the menu on the left.
7. Type your full SUNY Ulster email address into the E-mail address field.
8. Select E-Mail notification using the Voicemail notification drop-down menu.
9. Select Brief using the E-mail format drop-down menu.
10. Check the Attach audio check box.
11. Click the Apply button.

Email notifications now will be sent to your SUNY Ulster 
Note: Listening to your messages from your email will not turn off your phones message waiting light. You will still need to delete the messages using your phone or by using the SipX User Portal.

To disable:
2. Type your extension number into the User ID field.
3. Type your PIN into the PIN field.
4. Click the Login button.
5. Click the My Information tab.
6. Select Unified Messaging from the menu on the left.
7. Select No notification using the Voicemail notification drop-down menu.
8. Click the Apply button.

Accessing the SipX User Portal Voicemail Inbox
The SipX User Portal allows you to play, delete, and archive your voicemail messages. The interface is verify similar to using email.
To access the SipX User Portal:
1. Navigate to myphone.sunyulster.edu.
2. Type your extension number into the User ID field.
3. Type your PIN into the PIN field.
4. Click the Login button.

Once logged on you will be present with your inbox:

You can listen to a message by clicking the  (play) button located to the right of the message.
Messages can be deleted by checking the check box and selecting Trash from the More actions... drop-down menu.
You can archive messages by checking their check box and selecting Save from the More actions... drop-down menu.
