Making Calls

Calling Another SUNY Ulster Phone
Lift your handset and dial the four-digit extension.

Calling a Voicemail Box
Lift your handset and dial *, followed by the four-digit extension.

Calling a Local Number
Lift your handset and dial 8; followed by the seven-digit number.

Calling a Long Distance Number
Lift your handset and dial 8; then 1; followed by the ten-digit number.

Predialing
The VoIP telephone system uses a 3 second timer between each digit you dial. This timer is used to detect when you are finished dialing so the telephone system can complete the call. You can predial numbers prior to lifting your handset. This allows you to take you time dialing the number. It also allows you to use << soft key to back space mistyped digits.

Ending a Call
You can end a call by restoring your handset or pressing the EndCall soft key.
